Thank you to all those who supported our clubbercise glow party - it helped to raise £306.31 for Wolo! Yay! Thank you all SO much! This will pay for one of our families to get their wills written, as well as a holistic treatment for another lady, some gardening for another family, a cleaner for another family and medical equipment for someone else! Wow, look how many families it’s helped...thank you all so much 💛
Meet Andy....we are currently supporting him and his wonderful family through his cancer diagnosis and treatment 💛
We’ve helped their family in numerous ways, the latest by purchasing him a walking stick. As you can see, he seems to have gotten used to it quite quickly! 😍 It really helps to take the pressure off of his painful leg following a bout of intense radiotherapy on it last week. He’s also quite enjoying the 'grumpy old man' look that the walking stick offers 🤣 you got this Andy 💪🏻👊🏻💛

Thank you to everyone that has supported Wolo through sharing posts, donating or fundraising - you are all amazing!
Donated funds are used to pay for services and experiences to help make the day-to-day lives of families affected by cancer easier. Each of the families we are supporting have very different on-going needs and we are trying hard to support them every way we can through various means. Regular cleaning, complimentary therapies, annual passes for local attractions (to help create memories as well as have somewhere to go to have a much needed ‘break’ from cancer), gardening, childcare and fundraising help - to name just a few. We’re helping them in practical ways to help make their cancer journeys that little bit easier.
We are always looking for new services to offer families, so if you feel you could help, please get in touch.
We want to collaborate and work with our local community to create a good working partnership that directly benefits local families.
Thank you for your continued support.

Thank you so much to Alfriston Pilates - Shona Croft & Michelle for the time and effort you both put in to organise and run the charity Pilates class this morning. Thank you also to everyone that came along and helped to raise £200 for WOLO to help families affected by cancer. THANK YOU!
I wanted to bring you all to my special place... I have been coming here since my wife’s cancer diagnosis. Today I needed somewhere to be on my own (+ Daisy the dog!) to think and clear my head as have been finding life tough lately.
None of us dads are at our best through this never-ending journey. Even at work, no magical switch shuts off the immense stress and worry we feel about our family. It’s hard to focus; You come to work with the added stress of knowing you’re unintentionally not performing to your potential. That comes with a lot of guilt. We all must invest in our health. Just going for a walk or run, or just being outdoors with nature helps the mind. You must look after yourself as well as others.
Hopefully the trek in the Himalayas in a few weeks will be an amazing experience for me. Spending time on my own will help me with my own mind for sure... I’ll will be doing regular updates and vlogs that you can all have a laugh at...
Have a look below as you can read more about my midlife crisis below.

Justin Wright from the WOLO Foundation has made no secret of the fact his wife’s cancer diagnosis has changed him. With his wife now a ‘survivor’, and life getting back to ‘normal’ he feels ready to take a break from routine and go on an adventure. The self-funded 10 day opportunity departs this November: a Himalayan mountain trek climb to the world famous Everest View hotel, culminating in the first ever Sherpa-led mountain retreat - and is part of “The Inspiration Programme’.
TIP is an international adventure, personal development and conservation programme providing opportunity for busy individuals to journey to majestic and remote wild places, in order to discover a less driven and a more reflective, natural and fruitful life.
Justin will be joining forces with a group of other adventurers including former Royal Marine Commando and Special Forces Officer Neil Laughton; who climbed the mountain with Bear Grylls; and John Richards; Author of ‘Awareness, Change, Relationships and Fruitfulness, both directors of TIP.
Justin says, “I met and worked with John Richards after my wife’s cancer diagnosis. John helped move me forward and has taught me skills and self belief/care that makes me feel humble and brave enough to deal with anything that life throws at me. It’s a once in a life time experience - a unique 10 Day trek in the Himalayas in November 2019. I’m very much looking forward to the trek and hope to use the adventure to raise awareness and much-needed funds for WOLO Foundation - a charity my wife and I have set to help families through cancer. His wife Fler Wright supports him 100%, and feels the trip will be a fantastic opportunity for his personal development. Turning our cancer experience into a positive will help so many other families. Justin is very excited about his adventure and will be doing regular updates and vlogs so please follow and support his journey via instagram @instagram.com/wolofoundation/ or Facebook @thewolofoundation
