Helping families affected by cancer in Sussex

Feeling the community love today!

Huge thank you to local business, ‘Sussex Treefella’ for their generous help tidying a garden to help one of the families we are supporting near Eastbourne. Despite offering to pay, they donated their services for FREE! So generous, thank you SO much! Check out these before and after pics, great job! If you’re looking for any gardening help, please consider this great family run, reliable and friendly business https://www.facebook.com/sussextreefella/

If you have a service you can offer to help a local family affected by cancer, please get in touch! 💛 Wolo 💛

Crafty Christmas Celebration Day

Thank you to Cotton’s Coffee Bar for their Crafty Christmas Celebration Day that raised an amazing £132.67 for Wolo Foundation! The money will really help to support local families affected by cancer. Thank you to everyone that supported the event and donated. Merry Christmas! 💛

We're on the radio at Seahaven FM

Thank you to Seahaven FM 96.3 for having us this evening and helping to spread the wolo love. It was great taking about what we’re doing and why we’re doing it. Loved it! 💛 #wolo #wolofoundation #localradio #cancer #community #seaford #family

How do your donations help?

Thank you to everyone that has supported Wolo through sharing posts, donating or fundraising - you are all amazing!

Donated funds are used to pay for services and experiences to help make the day-to-day lives of families affected by cancer easier. Each of the families we are supporting have very different on-going needs and we are trying hard to support them every way we can through various means. Regular cleaning, complimentary therapies, annual passes for local attractions (to help create memories as well as have somewhere to go to have a much needed ‘break’ from cancer), gardening, childcare and fundraising help - to name just a few. We’re helping them in practical ways to help make their cancer journeys that little bit easier.

We are always looking for new services to offer families, so if you feel you could help, please get in touch.

We want to collaborate and work with our local community to create a good working partnership that directly benefits local families.

Thank you for your continued support.

My Special Place

I wanted to bring you all to my special place... I have been coming here since my wife’s cancer diagnosis. Today I needed somewhere to be on my own (+ Daisy the dog!) to think and clear my head as have been finding life tough lately.

None of us dads are at our best through this never-ending journey. Even at work, no magical switch shuts off the immense stress and worry we feel about our family. It’s hard to focus; You come to work with the added stress of knowing you’re unintentionally not performing to your potential. That comes with a lot of guilt. We all must invest in our health. Just going for a walk or run, or just being outdoors with nature helps the mind. You must look after yourself as well as others.

Hopefully the trek in the Himalayas in a few weeks will be an amazing experience for me. Spending time on my own will help me with my own mind for sure... I’ll will be doing regular updates and vlogs that you can all have a laugh at...

Have a look below as you can read more about my midlife crisis below.

Thank you so much for your continued support.
