Talks

Motivational and inspiring talks

Wolo shares real life experiences, to raise awareness of cancer and show that not all cancer patients look the same. We know that life is a blessing and we need to enjoy it doing the things we love, with the ones we love.

We at Wolo are passionate about promoting this – and we believe that it shouldn’t take a life event like cancer to make you re-evaluate your life, how you enjoy things or who you spend your time with.

The word ‘cancer’ brings fear to so many people but we talk openly and honestly about this disease and how you can still live your best life with a cancer diagnosis. We know that almost everyone has been affected by cancer in some way and will know someone who has gone through a cancer journey, whatever the result may have been. We want dispel some of the common myths about cancer and inspire everyone to live their best lives - after all we only live once.

We can come to schools or offices and talk openly and honestly about how cancer has affected our own lives, and how we can help others on their cancer journeys. Statistics show that 1 in 2 people born in the UK after 1960 will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, but cancer survival is improving and has doubled in the last 50 years in the UK - life is precious - we need to make the most of it - we only live once - Wolo!

This gripping session lasts approximately 1 hour with Q&A afterwards lasting around 15 minutes
