Beyond words. This has changed my life
Over the last year we have developed The Wolo Wellbeing Programme. This is 6 weeks of transformational learning, helping you to feel your body, free your mind and live your best live everyday!
The Wolo Wellbeing Programme is designed to help you build a foundation of calm and sets a base for a healthy mind and body. The focus is on experience, connection and release; letting go of all that does not serve you and making place for what does.
I feel extremely lucky and grateful to have been able to experience this wellbeing residential. I have come home feeling really calm and like I have furthered my self discovery journey. Having time, silence and techniques to be with my body and mind in a calm safe way has opened up my world to some healing and living in the present rather then fearing the threat of reoccurrence of cancer in the future. Thank you WOLO.
The first 3 days of the programme will be spent together at Florence House, where you will connect with new friends. A typical day here includes movement, breathwork, cold immersion, meditation, TRE (tension and trauma releasing exercises), nourishing food, journalling, downtime and socially connected learning. These 3 short days really made a difference to everyone who took part.
Benefitted in so many ways. Through connection with others, story sharing, idea sharing. Great tools learnt and the ability to let go of some trauma. Also super nice to be so well looked after in a beautiful place with beautiful food and kind people.
The course carries on with twice-weekly zoom sessions for 6 weeks. These sessions are so important and really help to embed the practice into your daily routine, as well as introducing some new techniques. This is followed by a final face-to-face meet up to re-evaluate, reflect and connect. Zoom sessions continue after this, every 2 weeks to touch base for those who feel they need it.
I went into the course feeling a little deflated and low in motivation following 5 months of chemotherapy. The course helped me to refocus, taught me new skills around breathwork and mindfulness, as well as introduce me to a new and very supportive community of people. It also helped me form new habits around journalling, reinvigorated my motivation to approach my next chemotherapy treatment with different focus. I have much more stillness and focus now to stay healthy and exercise throughout my coming treatment. I can recommend the course to anyone affected by cancer who would like to find new skills for coping and living well on this journey.
It was more than I could ever imagine. I was supported, loved, challenged, heard, held and invigorated. Space was created to look at my needs and wants and reassess my life and I will be forever grateful for that. Thank you beyond words. This has changed my life. I would suggest it to literally anyone. The support from my peers was exceptional but the leaders were out of this world.
I really enjoyed the course. Loved the venue, the food, the company, the techniques we learned and the space for ‘me’. I will continue to use the tools throughout my life so they have been very beneficial. I also feel a strong sense of belonging within the cohort. Thank you so for this unique opportunity!
