Helping families affected by cancer in Sussex

A wonderful little girl called Venus is now part of a special Wolo Wolf pack

Earlier this month Wolo arranged a photoshoot for a wonderful little girl called Venus and her family - including her beautiful dogs. Thanks so much to Sonia Hallam Photography for the photos - she has captured some beautiful moments - that will be treasured forever.

Venus

We helped out at a Charity event,

Lots of people, came and went,

At Martello field, the event was held.

For Cancer awareness, WOLO excelled,

To the WOLO stall, a family came,

I met a young girl, Venus her name,

Her Mum and Dad, Rob and Michelle,

Said Venus, had not been feeling that well,

Treatment for cancer, she’s finding it tough,

Transfusions to help her, stop feeling rough,

She told us that she, liked Wolves a lot,

A Wolf spirit protector, that she had got,

Shiba Inus, are her 2 dogs,

There’s Yoko Ono and Mr Fox,

I wanted to help, so had an idea,

To try help Venus, cope with her fear,

Over in Germany, I have a friend,

A message to Mona La Loba, I had to send,

She is a Shaman, and leads a Wolf pack,

“I’ll be glad to help”, the reply she sent back,

She created a video, a message of hope,

Specially for Venus, to help her cope,

A chat with WOLO, and it was decided,

That a Wolf necklace, she also provided,

It arrived in the post, I gave Justin a lift,

To deliver to Venus, this amazing gift,

We met her again, she showed us around,

What happened next, was really profound,

We showed the video, a smile on her face,

Then presented to her, the Wolf necklace,

She seemed to like it, so very much,

And since that day, we’ve kept in touch,

Thanks go to Mona, for all that she gave,

And to Venus for being, so strong and so brave,

Courage and Wisdom, no longer to lack,

She is now part of, a special Wolf pack,

We work with local businesses and communities to offer families a wealth of services to support them through their diagnosis, treatment and beyond.

Statistics show that 1 in 2 people in the UK born after 1960 will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Life is precious - we need to make the most of it - we only live once - WOLO!
