Over the last few months team WOLO have achieved an incredible amount, and supported more families than ever. Your kind donations and continued support mean we have been able to do all of this….
Welcomed fifteen new families into the Wolo community, and helped many others to help ensure they get the support they need
Put on a family festival - WoloFest - for all Wolo families, new and old to create some fun times and meet others going though a similar experience
Helped four families with cleaning their homes
Sent 2 families on boat trips to help create some magical memories
Organised for four families to stay in a local retreat to give them some much needed family time
9 people tried breath work for the first time as part of our wolo wellness programme
Helped to buy a mattress for someone struggling to sleep
Bought snuggly bedding for a little girl who is feeling the cold during chemo
Bought clothes vouchers for a lady who’s body shape has changed
Helped to organise and fund driving lessons to increase independence for one family
Paid for a car to be valeted ready to sell to make way for a disability vehicle
Completed our first international challenge in Africa to release 2 giraffes and raise £0000’s for wolo
Paid for five people to have therapy to improve their outlook on life, and find the positives
Sent two families food vouchers who are struggling to feed themselves and their children
37 people braved the cold and did an ice bath challenge to raise funds for wolo
A family held a cake sale and raised a massive £1700
Sought help to become an employer
Offered yoga as part of our wolo wellness programme
Launched the WoloBall coming 11.3.22
Planted five saplings in memory of loved ones
Paid for five children from different families to have a course of therapy to support their mental health and well-being
Paid for a gardener to help maintain the garden of a family who are living with cancer
Paid for one lady to have reiki
Attended funerals of those taken too soon
Helped tick a wingwalk off of the bucket list for 4 daring supporters who raised funds for Wolo
Recruited 3 new trustees and 2 new ambassadors who are excited and raring to go
Developed so many new relationships with individuals, companies and charities to help achieve our objective of supporting families on their cancer journeys
Gifted two families tickets to Drusillas to create some @wolomoments together
Met up with three bereaved families and offered our continued support
Organised for repair work for a family who have a leaking garage
Organised a Christmas family event at Monkey Bizness in Lewes for 100’s of children and their parents
Begun work supervision to help ensure we look after Team Wolo’s mental health
Held an adult-only event for those within the Wolo community to showcase delicious vegan cuisine
Collected a giant cheque from Cumnor House in an assembly with the children after they fundraised all year for us
Bought a heated airier for a family struggling to get their washing dry in the cost of living crisis
Done a radio interview to increase awareness of Wolo around Sussex
Helped two ladies with chiropractic treatment
Done a podcast to tell the story of how we turned our life traumas into positives
Helped two children from different families to learn to swim
Used a proper flip chart for the first time for a proper financial strategy meeting!
Supported the Dadventure team with a talk about their upcoming adventure across the Atlantic
Selected as the local Co-op charity of the year
Volunteered for Seaford Bonfire society to help collect funds for Wolo and other local charities
Organised and paid for the hall hire for a celebration of life/memorial
Helped to make the birthday party of a little girl extra special
Had a podcast with Marcos and Wim Hof himself to discuss the lifestyle changes he made to help kill cancer cells and improve his mental health
Organised for one family to create memories staying together on an American school bus
Arranged for two families to attend premier league football matches to create memories to cherish forever @wolomoments
Organised a foraging day for Wolo families to learn how to incorporate nature into their lives
Begun an online tai chi workshop to help Wolo families as part of our Wolo Wellness programme
Seven brave people did a skydive to raise funds for us
Organised a family trip to Jumpin’ Inflatable for families to have fun and meet others going through a similar experience
Organised a Pier-to-Paris cycle challenge for 2023
One of our trustees organised a Wolo Weekender to raise funds, and families enjoyed a weekend of camping and games
Two golf days helped to raise funds and awareness for Wolo - great fun was had by all!
Volunteers have helped us with many tasks to help make a positive difference to families affected by cancer
Started a mental strength workshop for Wolo families to help them make the most of their lives

Our families are our friends. The Wolo community is growing and we couldn’t be happier that we can be there for people.
